We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer – Unreal Engine / Gaming (m/f/d) to help build and evolve the infrastructure and CI/CD platform behind our Unreal Engine 5 development.
 
Working hands-on across build systems, infrastructure, automation and DevSecOps, you will improve our Jenkins and Perforce-based environment and help create a fast, reliable and secure development platform for our teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure for Unreal Engine 5 development.
  • Improve our Jenkins and Perforce environment and help evaluate technologies such as Unreal Horde.
  • Build and maintain scalable virtualized and containerized infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning.
  • Implement and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and recovery solutions.
  • Apply DevSecOps and security best practices across our infrastructure and automation.
  • Develop tools and automation that improve workflows for programmers, artists, technical artists, QA and production.
  • Troubleshoot complex Windows and Linux infrastructure issues, contribute to technical decisions and share knowledge across the team.

Key Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in DevOps, build or infrastructure engineering, with strong experience supporting complex development environments.
  • Professional experience supporting game development, ideally with Unreal Engine or another large-scale real-time development environment.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, build infrastructure, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly PowerShell; experience with Python or C# is valuable.
  • Practical experience with DevSecOps and infrastructure security, along with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with version control, virtualization and/or container technologies, such as Perforce, Git, Proxmox or Docker.
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across development disciplines.
  • Very good English skills; German is a plus.
